Our aims and objectives are to provide good quality early years education for children from 2 years old, by learning through play, and offering a range of stimulating activities and experiences in a safe, secure and happy environment. We achieve this by having a team of qualified staff who are dedicated to delivering a varied and well balanced curriculum.
OPENING HOURS: MONDAY – FRIDAY 7.30 A.M. to 6 P.M.
WRAP AROUND CARE: We provide affordable wrap around care for pupils of St Mary’s school. This takes place from 7.30am -8.55am (including breakfast from 8am- 8.30am) and from 3.15pm – 5.45pm. Part of this service is to take your child to and from St. Mary’s safely.
PARENT & TODDLER GROUP: On Tuesday mornings we run a baby and toddler group in the main room at Playcentre. This includes a snack and play. Should you require childcare on a Tuesday between 9am and 11am please speak to Staff to discuss the options.
HOLIDAY CLUB: for children 2-12years old, run from the Overton Playcentre building.
We run a range of activities and this year we have been fortunate, through grants, to bring in a range of exciting events for our children including the animal man, archery, bushcraft, Martial arts and costume making.
FEES AND BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS: We accept all voucher schemes, Childcare Offer, HMRC tax free childcare and other forms of funding. Bookings are made a month in advance and paid prior to taking up the place. However, we do have flexibility for
different shift patterns and emergency childcare on the day (subject to space available). Please contact Playcentre on 01978 710688 for more information.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS: We are a non-profit charitable organisation and therefore need to raise funds through the year to pay for maintenance of the building and equipment. We host regular events and are always looking for new committee members to join us, with all fresh ideas welcome! Look out for posters advertising our events!
