St. Mary’s School is a Church in WalesAidedSchool and its ethos is based on the fundamental values and beliefs of the teaching of the Christian Faith.
Our pupils have numerous opportunities to walk to St Mary’s Church to celebrate significant events in the church calendar.
The school has a close relationship with the Church and Rector David Child comes to school every week to lead Collective Worship for all our pupils and staff.

The churchyard of St Mary the Virgin dominates the high street and is famous for twenty-one very ancient yew trees. The yew trees are traditionally one of the Seven Wonders of Wales.
