What a wonderful start to Nursery!
We have had a busy and exciting first term as the children have settled into their new learning environment, making new friends and becoming familiar with their daily routines.
The children have enjoyed developing their fine motor skills through a range of finger gym activities, helping to strengthen the muscles needed for everyday tasks and early writing. We have also been working hard on our listening skills with Lola the Listening Leopard, learning how to listen carefully, follow instructions and take turns in conversations.
Our days have been filled with exploration and adventure through outdoor learning, where the children have investigated the natural world, developed their physical skills and enjoyed learning through play. The bikes and trikes have been a particular favourite, helping the children to build confidence, coordination and balance.
As part of our ‘Me and My Family’ topic, the children have enjoyed talking about the special people in their lives, sharing photographs and learning about each other’s families. We have also spent lots of time sharing stories, developing a love of books and enjoying songs, rhymes and discussions together.
This term, the children have taken part in collective worship and enjoyed learning about the importance of Harvest, helping them to think about being thankful and caring for others.
We are incredibly proud of how well the children have settled into Nursery. They have shown curiosity, kindness and a growing confidence in their new surroundings. We look forward to another exciting term of learning and discovery ahead! 🌟😊
