The Welsh Government allocates grant funding to Local Authorities to support Education. Wrexham Local Authority allocates this grant funding to schools under the following headings:
- School Standards – to help improve standards of teaching and learning across the curriculum
- Professional Learning – to assist with the continued professional development of teaching and support staff
- Pupil Development Grant – allocated to schools based on the number of pupils who are eligible for free school meals (eFSM) and learners who are Children Looked After (CLA) by the Local Authority.
- ALN Reform – to support the implementation of the new ALN system in Wales, create inclusive learning environments and improve facilities and support for pupils with additional learning needs.
