We have had a busy start to 2025 in Dosbarth Llyn Tegid!

In literacy, we have focused on writing myths and legends and explanation texts. We have continued working on expressing opinion in Cymraeg, practiced our Helpwr Heddiw sessions and began looking at a poem for the upcoming school Eisteddfod. 

Our topic ‘Wales and Water’ is well underway and at the moment we have covered human and physical geography, lake formation, source to sea of the River Dee (including its passing through Overton) and states of matter linked with The Water Cycle. 

We’ve had lots of fun with scientific states of matter experiments both indoors and outside.

Mathematics has seen us complete multiplication and division and move on to fractions. We will continue this the next half term. 

Finally, we have been lucky to have a number of visitors to deliver assemblies and workshops providing the children with a wide range of opportunities from meeting beautiful birds to mastering chess strategies.
