Welcome to Llyn Alwen and the Beginning of Our Year Two Adventures
Welcome to the exciting start of our school year in Year Two! We are gearing up for a fantastic journey filled with fun and new learning experiences. Our focus for this term is on Community Wellbeing and Cynefin – where we will explore our connections to the community and our sense of belonging.
As we start the autumn term, we are beginning with an exploration of our class lakes. We are arranging a trip to Llyn Brenig and Llyn Alwen with our Year One friends, this will provide us with the perfect opportunity to compare and contrast our surroundings with Overton. Through these comparisons, we will voice our opinions, discuss the impact we can have on the environment, and appreciate the beauty of our natural landscape.
Here are some of the books and musical pieces that will inspire our learning:
- Mrs. Noah’s Garden by Jackie Morris
- Noah’s Carpark by Paul Kerensa
- The Other Ark by Lynley Dodd
- The Invisible String by Patrice Karst
- Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens
I am looking forward to our journey together this year and we are all set for lots of exciting learning opportunities that are filled with exploration, discovery.
