March is always a busy month as we celebrate our annual Eisteddfod and World Book Day. Our theme of landscapes, to recognise Wales being voted one of the most beautiful countries in the World, inspired a range of fantastic artwork from Year 6. It was tricky to choose our overall winners! For World Book Day teachers shared their favourite book with classes and Year 6 listened to Mrs Williams’ recent book discovery ‘The Truth Pixie’ – which has deeper themes of how happiness is only truly experienced by knowing sadness too. We then had fun reading with the younger pupils to share the joy of reading.
We are continuing to ‘Dare to be our Best Self’ with our weekly Skillforce sessions, as the class work towards achieving The Prince William Award. Lots of fun, hand-on activities – building resilience, problem solving and team building skills.
