Year 5 Spring and Summer 2021

In Year 5 we’ve been making the most of our wonderful school grounds to take our learning outdoors, especially our Maths where we have completed exercises on shapes and measure. We’ve also turned into explorers in our weekly Forest School session where we have made shelters and even helped release frogs – which have been raised in school from frog spawn – back into our newly cleared pond.

We have also really enjoyed our Victorian topic and have had a go at making Victorian Silhouette portraits and had a virtually visit to Wrexham museum to learn about our life in Overton and Wrexham in the 19th Century.

In our Science work we have been learning about our bodies including the heart and our muscles and what our bodies need to keep healthy.’
