Summer Term 2019
We’ve been busy this term finishing our class topic on Ancient Egypt. We found recipes to make Ancient Egyptian shortbread and flatbread and gave it a go! The children were very pleased with the results!
We’ve also been busy in Forest School this term, we decorated a tyre planter and filled it with beautiful begonias! We also learnt how to tie knots and practised making things using the palm drills. Of course, as always, the children have loved climbing trees and many of the boys have spent lots of time with the digging equipment digging up treasure!
We had the privilege of attending Children’s Day at Llangollen Eisteddfod earlier this month. It was an amazing day, the children got to watch many performances from lots of talented groups! We loved taking part in the Panic Circus activities too, the children got to juggle, walk the tightrope and try a unicycle to name just a few activities!
We have been looking at the Jewish faith in Religious Education this term. We were invited to visit St. Giles Church in Wrexham and took part in a Judaism workshop. The children got to make a kippah, a menorah, we moulded challah bread an learnt lots about the Jewish faith. A very interesting day indeed!
Year 4 have also been busy playing with the new loose parts at lunch times! We’ve been rolling, building and having lots of fun!
Phew… I think we all deserve a summer holiday! See you in September! 🙂
