We took part in a Dodgeball Festival at Penley High School and played mini games of dodgeball against other local schools – we had lots of fun!
We have been busy making our Easter craft this week. We read and discussed the Easter story and enjoyed making hot cross scones. We also got crafty and made Easter cards and a basket to put our fresh bakes in!
World Book Day 2017
We had a fantastic day today! We all came into school dressed as our favourite book character and enjoyed reading to the children in Nursery and Reception.
St. David’s Day
We celebrated St. David’s Day on March 1st by taking part in our school Eisteddfod. We learned and performed a Welsh poem called ‘Fy Enfys’ and entered a piece of artwork based on the topic of ‘The Future.’ The children worked very hard over the Half Term holiday and it was super difficult to choose the winners!
We would like to give a big congratulations to Evie who won the Year 3 category with her brilliant Eco House! In close joint second place was Harvey’s Robot waiter and Eliza’s Time Machine. Third place went to Jessica with her wonderful message showing that the future of the world is in our hands. A highly commended award went to Liberty with her very detailed bedroom design for the future.
Congratulations and a big well done to everybody who entered a piece of art work for the competition, they were all fantastic, da iawn!
We also celebrated St. David’s Day by making some traditional leek soup, it was very tasty indeed!
We have been busy this term learning all about how, when and why the Romans came to Britain. We have produced some pic collages on the ipad to show you some of the things we have learnt. Take a look below!
We had fun investigating various materials in our Science work – we tested materials to check which was the most absorbent. Check out our findings!
